Let's talk oil, what New SNP don't say

former RBS Andrew Wilson - SNP MSP who proposed Devo Max - now controls Indy 2

This is the man who proposed devo max - former SNP MSP and RBS man Andrew Wilson.

Then Alex Salmond, took this proposal to America in 2012 claiming Devo Max would be better for Scotland just now rather than independence.

Then Andrew Wilson set up a PR company called Charlotte Street Partners along with New Labour George Robertson's son making Roland Rudd, brother of Conservative home secretary Amber Rudd, a director in the firm.

SNP's former communications director, Kevin Pringle joined them in Charlotte Street Partners once SNP's proposed Devo Max was achieved.

The Chairman of Charlotte Street Partners is ex "vice" Chair of RBS, Angus Grossart, who pedalled porn channels into every home with Rupert Murdoch while he was Chairman of the Daily Record and on the board of Trinity Mirror group.

Ex "vice" chair of RBS was appointed as Chairman of the super PFI quango Salmond created - with Grossart and Salmond turning Scotland into a PFI monopoly board to dump tens of £billions MORE PFI secretly on Scotland - with neither Rupert Murdoch's empire or the Daily Record reporting this.

The two most powerful media empires in Scotland in it together with SNP government meaning neither are reporting what is really going on or holding the Scottish Government to account - demonstrating there is no 4th pillar of democracy when bankers, media barons and government are all in it together - a totally unacceptable situation which is an affront to and threat to democracy.

Ex SNP "Indyref" communications director, Pringle worked for Scottish Gas and now works for the ex Daily Record Chairman Grossart at the same time as he also works for Rupert Murdoch's Times.

Pringle and the powerful New Labour and Tory men in Charlotte Street Partners with SNP's RBS gang were joined by Stuart Taylor who advised New Labour MSP Cara Hilton and another Devo Max cheerleader, Joe Swinson, the Scottish Lib Dem MP who was a Minister in Cameron and Clegg's coalition.

And now we find Nicola Sturgeon has put Andrew Wilson in charge of what they claim is their Indy 2 campaign - they have slickly turned into an EU referendum instead, with Wilson immediately undermining Indy 2 with claims Alex Salmond got it wrong over independence and oil, with one report stating

""Andrew Wilson, a former SNP MSP and RBS economist, said that North Sea revenues had formed part of the “basis” of a separate Scotland’s finances rather than being an additional windfall as Mr Salmond repeatedly claimed"

He added: “So I can say with some certainty in terms of our own work that we'll assume for the purposes of our projections that oil is producing zero revenues and therefore treat any revenues that we get from oil as a proper windfall to be used on intergenerational projects rather than spent on spending today.""

allowing Better Together parties to immediately attack Indy 1 & 2.

But what do SNP's RBS gang, Murdoch's Empire and the Trinity Mirror group and Better Together NOT SAY about Scotland's oil?

In 2014, on recommendation of Sir Ian Wood, Westminster privatised control of regulation of the North Sea and issuing of North Sea Licences, transferring the power (and all siesmic data so there is absolutely little risk or exploration required) into an unelected quango called the "oil and gas authority" to effectively control the North Sea insead of Westminster

Nicola and Alex happily accepting instead of a goverment department accountable to the nation, a director of lottery company Camelot, Nic Granger, a member of the Falkland Island Government, Dr Russell Richardson, a lawyer who does Cayman Island work, a former BG Group managing director, former Diago worker are best placed to control the North Sea and Scotland's most valuable resources.

Since 2014, two hundred licenses have been issued for the North Sea as Scotland's oil has been declared the only worthless oil in the world - so worthless we must pay oil companies to take it away for us - as if it is rubbish - it's a Waste Management Industry it seems.

With Westminster systematically denying the nation our share of the revenues from our oil where we used to collect 3 tiers of tax with license holders paying the Petrolem Revenue Tax (PRT) at 50% tax rate until George Osborne cut it to 35% on 1st Jan 2015 and then to 0% in the 2016 budget - for oil fields developed before 1993 - PRT and royalties abolished for fields after 1993 to minimise the nation's share while maximising the license holders share of the wealth.

Osborne also cut the supplementary charge tax from 32% in respect of profits accruing after 23 March 2011 to 20% for accounting periods from 1st January 2015 to it's new lowest level ever of 10% for accounting periods from 1st April 2016.

With other tax rebates and further new tax exemptions coming after the election to rig Scotland's revenue figures further.

These changes resulted in the nation making it's first loss on oil ever in 2015/16, allowing Westminster to fiddle the GERS figures for Scotland to claim Scotland cannot afford to be independent.

And with ex RBS man (Mr Devo Max) Andrew Wilson in charge of INDY2 - strangely trying to claim Scotland's oil is more or less worthless too - claiming if we make anything off our oil we should only see that as a wee bonus while making no reference to Westminster scrapping the 50% Petroleum revenue tax so we get nothing - why the oil figures are so low.

Alex Salmond's Business Spokesperson, Hannah Bardell worked in television, including for the BBC, before moving to work for Salmond in his constituency office for 3 years - then working for the American consulate in Edinburgh only to then get jobs in Oil and Gas companies for 3 years before becoming an MP.

In 2016 Bardell and fellow SNP MP's voted to give the unelected Oil and Gas Authority (a member of the Falkland island Government and a Cayman Island lawyer) more power over our North Sea and how it is managed for decommissioning with Nicola Sturgeon's government agreeing the new "regulator" should be involved (stating this in 2014).

North Sea Decommissioning costs are already touted to be at least £50 billion - with taxpayers responsible for one third - with it likely the Tories and their unelected oil and gas authority will attempt after the election to transfer nearly all those costs to the taxpayers.

Theresa May's government announced in the last budget they are going to review North Sea taxes again and decommissioning - if they get re-elected.

Hammond announced "that an expert panel would examine ways of making it easier to buy and sell North Sea oil and gasfields" with the Financial Times stating

"Oil and gas companies are entitled to tax relief on the cost of plugging wells and dismantling infrastructure when fields cease production. However, the value of these benefits depends on how much tax the operator has paid during the life of the asset. "

"Industry leaders say these rules deter the trading of oil and gasfields because an acquiring company cannot claim relief on taxes paid by the previous owner. The review announced in Mr Hammond’s Budget will look at options for reform, including demands for the full value of tax relief to be transferable from one owner to another. "

"North Sea decommissioning costs are forecast to exceed £50bn during the next four decades, with almost half the liability to be met by the Treasury through tax relief, according to Wood Mackenzie, the energy research company"

Yet other reports say taxpayers are only liable for 30% - while the Scottish Government's "expert" report in 2014 claimed taxpayers liable for 60^ - which figure is correct?

And when oil companies are not paying taxes at the rate they used to - the 3 tiers of tax all but wiped out - why are we liable for the costs in the latest oil boom where massive new finds show the politicians just keep misleading us about the North Sea oil is all but drying up - as they did for the first Scottish referendum - playing the same game to keep denying Scotland the true value of our resources.

With Nicola Sturgeon and Alex Salmond attempting to commit an Independent Scotland to the same tax relief (they claim is 60% for taxpayers) when Scotland did not collect the the oil revenues so should not be liable - especially not at that rate - and why should everyone else benefit except the nation.

The il should be renationalised - with Scotland getting all the decommissiong work so Westminster and the oil companies don't get to leave our waters as scrapyards - so the entire nation benefits from not only the oil but the decomissioning of all oil fields paid for by Westminster and the oil companies - with Scotland's only liability for oil fields developed after independence.

Will Scotland see any of the decommissiong work as so far the oil companies are towing the rigs across the world to give other countries the work with BP now taking the oil out the North Sea and shipping it to Rotterdam so we don't even refine our oil and get benefits from that either - it seems everyone but Scotland and now UK exchequer too is benefitting from our oil.

As the nation makes a loss on oil - our oil workers being sacked and having their wages slashed based on propaganda and rigged "market" that is not a market at all but NATO leaders pretending oil is worthless so their pals pay no tax just like rich bankers - so they can all pretend together Scotland cannot afford to go independent.

When all this proves the nation cannot afford to let Westminster mismange the North Sea assets this way - and if new SNP are happy with Devo Max they proposed and for Scotland and the rest of the UK to be fleeced of our oil revenues - is it time for Scotland to think again about who has Scotland's interests at heart.

Especially as the man leading Indy2 explains none of this and appears to be also pedalling the myth our oil is worthless when in fact their is an oil boom going on and Scotland and our oil workers - like bank workers no longer get any of the benefit.

If an Independent Scotland chose to nationalise the oil again, so the nation gets every penny of every barrel of oil - instead of foreign corporations emptying our oil fields as fast as they can in this Scotland's oil free for all - I wonder how worthless Scotland's oil would be then?

In this alice in wonderland, animal farm - 1984 new order where leaders of EU and NATO nation's absurdly claim banks are poor and oil is worthless - all of them singing from the same hymn sheet to ensure no one challenges the obvious absurdity and politicians pedal the myths about "markets" and "competition" when we know there are no markets - just monopolies of liars robbing Scotland and the UK blind together in both parliaments and the UK privy council.

Strange that UK privy council life member, Alex Salmond, who invented the Oil Index that RBS still uses to this day, says absolutely nothing of all these tax changes designed to fiddle the figures for Scotland - and also has no complaint regarding a member of the Falkland Island Goverment and a Cayman Island Laywer in control of our North Sea.

With SNP strangely silent about an oil company discovering a massive oil field just before the referendum, downplaying the colossal size of the find - only revealing the true size of the find a few weeks ago - happy to follow the UK privy council narrative that 200 oil licenses issued in the North Sea since 2014 and massive oil finds are irrelevant - honest the North Sea oil is drying up and worthless?

Yet weeks ago we were told this find before the referendum - is in fact likely the biggest oil find of the century - with more than one billion barrels of oil where we will make a loss - while the license holder only has to invest about £400m - for a return of £40 billion at rock bottom oil prices.

SNP indy 2 stance forget the oil - why - is it because Salmond accepted the invitation along with Nicola and Ruth Davidson and Angus Robertson and Camilla (Charles Wife) to become life time members of the UK privy council with New Labour, New Lib Dem and Old Tories - swearing an oath this UK privy council in London will rule Scotland for as long as they shall live. Members for life in thee London Better Together Club that really runs the UK together.

Kings used to offer land for changing loyalties - now Royalty only needs to offer a seat at the UK privy council for life.

Why SNP proposed Devo Max (for Better Together UK privy council) - why Nicola slickly turned Indy 2 into an EU referendum for UK privy council - perfect divide and conquer tactics by this British Establishment group - as New SNP are content with the UK privy council running the whole of the UK and Scotland forever now they have their feet under the British Establishment table to do it with them for life.
